Subject: different strokes for different folks...
Hey now, not the greatest quality, but better than nothing, right? I wasn't able to make this show due to it being my daughter's 8th birthday, but at the last minute I sent my bro', sis-in-law and some pals to the show with my Edirol R-09 to see what they could grab. Considering they had never taped before, they fastened it to the balcony ledge with some gaffers tape, and I think it came out not half bad. If talkers bother you then no harm, no foul, just move along. Most of these folks were elated to be at this show and if there's some chatter, well, then so be it.

Anyway, IMO some tape is better than no tape, and I'm damn proud of my friends for making the effort on my behalf. Peace.

Subject: People Who Talk During Shows
Thanks for the recording. It reminded me of the best and worst of Dead shows--well, all shows in general. There's a bunch of chatter on this tape--and most audience recordings--that drives me crazy. Why? Well, you've got a group of musicians that have spent their lives perfecting a craft, and then you have the audience engaged in the most meaningless chatter in the history of mankind. It's just retarded. Did they pay all that money to have the band be the background noise for their conversations? I always said that half the crowd is there for the music, the other half for the "scene". We're quirky mammals. I'm stopping the recording now, because, someone is talking during "Peggy-O". We are quirky mammals. Oh yeah, the bass is too high on this recording.
